Liverpool reportedly eyeing Japan World Cup star in potential transfer move

Liverpool is reportedly interested in signing a player from Japan’s World Cup squad, adding to the club’s existing connection with Japanese football talent.

The club already has history with Japanese internationals on its roster. Wataru Endo joined Liverpool from VfB Stuttgart in 2023 and served as captain for Japan’s national team before retiring from international duty in June 2026.
