SS Lazio have pulled the plug on their planned signing of Bamba Dieng after the free-agent striker failed to pass medical examinations in Rome. The 26-year-old Senegalese international was reportedly close to agreeing a three-year deal with the Serie A club, but persistent knee concerns proved to be a dealbreaker once again. For Dieng, this is becoming a painful pattern. A collapsed move to Turkish side Amed SK earlier this summer was also attributed to medical red flags, and now Lazio’s decision leaves him without a club willing to bet on his body.
