The marketplace expands La Mint’s existing platform, where creators and influencers can charge fans small fees to unlock photos and other content (as well as free posts). Instead of content being viewed once and disappearing into a feed, creators can now release it as a limited edition. For example, 10 editions of a photo, allowing 10 fans to own a collectible version of that content. The collectibles use the 1Sat Ordinals tokenization protocol. Each edition is a real item recorded on the blockchain and held in the buyer’s HandCash inventory, though users never need to understand wallets, addresses, or how blockchain works. La Mint provides the content platform and marketplace, while HandCash handles the wallet infrastructure behind the scenes.
