In a move that could reshape the future of enterprise technology, Kyndryl and Amazon Web Services (AWS) are doubling down on their collaboration to enhance agentic AI deployment. This expansion aims to modernize critical workloads on AWS while fostering AI adoption at scale.

Details of the partnership

The strategic collaboration, as announced on June 18, 2026, focuses on strengthening AI capabilities within enterprises. Under this agreement, AWS has committed to investing in Kyndryl’s talent pool, joint solution engineering, and AI expertise. Currently, Kyndryl boasts over 11,000 AWS-certified professionals, a workforce set to expand under the new deal.

A central element of this partnership is the Kyndryl Agentic AI Framework (KAF). Available on the AWS Marketplace, the framework provides an orchestration layer that integrates with Amazon Bedrock and AWS infrastructure. Designed to deploy autonomous AI agents securely, KAF emphasizes features like Policy-as-Code and Semantic Verification, crucial for operating in hybrid environments.

Background and previous collaborations

This is not the first initiative between the two giants. In June 2025, they announced a plan focusing on deploying agentic AI solutions for mainframe modernization. The evolving partnership seeks to address enterprise demands for integrating AI with cloud modernization, especially in regulated industries.

An IDC study suggests that 65% of organizations anticipate full-scale deployment of agentic AI by 2027, underscoring the urgency for adaptable and secure frameworks.
