Krak launches multi-asset debit card in US with up to 2% cashback

Krak, the consumer-facing payments app from Kraken, has launched a Visa debit card in the United States that lets users spend from a pool of over 600 currencies and crypto assets, including Bitcoin and USDC. The card converts holdings to USD at the point of sale and offers cashback rewards of up to 2%, paid in either dollars or Bitcoin. Krak charges no transaction fees, no foreign exchange fees, no ATM fees, and no monthly or annual fees. How the card works The Krak debit card is issued by Lead Bank and runs on the Visa network, which means it works anywhere Visa is accepted. Users link their Krak account, choose which asset they want to spend from, and the app handles the conversion to USD in real time when a purchase is made. Cashback tiers scale based on the average combined assets a user holds across Krak and associated Kraken platforms. The more you hold, the higher your rewards rate, up to that 2% ceiling. Rewards can be deposited as USD or routed into Bitcoin. The card launched on August 18, 2026, but availability is not nationwide. New York, Maine, Massachusetts, and Indiana are currently excluded.
