Intercontinental Exchange considers further investment in Polymarket

Intercontinental Exchange, the company that owns the New York Stock Exchange, is apparently eyeing even more exposure to Polymarket after already committing up to $2 billion in equity to the prediction market platform. ICE’s existing investment in Polymarket valued the platform at roughly $8 billion pre-investment. ICE plans to position itself as the global distributor of Polymarket’s event-driven data to institutional investors. How ICE got here The relationship started in October 2025, when ICE announced a strategic investment of up to $2 billion in Polymarket. The first tranche was a $1 billion direct cash injection. By March 2026, ICE had followed through with an additional $600 million in direct investment. The company also purchased up to $40 million in securities from existing Polymarket holders, fulfilling the total commitment. The market liked what it saw. ICE stock rose more than 3% in premarket trading after the October 2025 announcement.
