Heidi raises $340M to enhance AI tools for healthcare

Heidi Health, an Australian AI startup that automates the paperwork side of being a doctor, just closed a $340 million funding package that values the company at $900 million. The round, announced September 22, 2026, combines a $100 million Series C equity raise led by Blackbird Ventures with a $240 million growth investment from General Catalyst’s Customer Value Fund. That’s a near-doubling from its $465 million valuation just last October, when Heidi closed a $65 million Series B. What Heidi actually does At its core, Heidi is an AI scribe. It listens to doctor-patient conversations and automatically generates clinical notes, working in over 110 languages. The company is expanding into what it calls “AI Care Partner” agents: supervised tools that can handle patient communication and information lookup, all under clinician oversight. The platform is already deployed in major health systems. Beth Israel Lahey Health in the US and NHS England Midlands in the UK are among the institutional clients.
