Google unveils experimental CC AI agent designed for families of up to six

Google just made its AI assistant a family affair. The company announced on September 17 that its experimental CC AI agent, previously a solo productivity tool, now supports up to six users in a single household, turning what was essentially a personal digital secretary into something closer to a shared family command center. From daily briefs to family dispatches CC isn’t entirely new. Google first launched the original single-user version back in December 2025 as a Google Labs experiment. By May 2026, that concept had matured into Gemini’s Daily Brief feature, which scans a user’s Google account data to surface action items, reminders, and suggestions each morning. The new iteration takes that same logic and scales it horizontally across a household. Each family gets a dedicated Google account for CC, and up to six members can opt into sharing specific slices of their data with the group. School appointments, veterinary schedules, shared calendar events: the kind of logistical chaos that typically lives in a group text thread or on a refrigerator door.
