Moving funds from Ethereum to Gnosis Chain used to mean waiting long enough to brew a pot of coffee. Now the wait is about as long as it takes to read this paragraph. Gnosis has integrated Ethereum’s Fast Confirmation Rule (FCR) into its official bridges, the xDAI bridge and Omnibridge. Deposits from Ethereum mainnet now process in approximately 13 seconds. Before the change, they waited for full economic finality, which took about 13 minutes. What changed, and what didn’t The switch went live on October 8, 2026. Gnosis says this makes it the first production system to run FCR, so other teams now have a real deployment to study. The timeline also beat its own forecast. Gnosis documented the FCR integration on September 24, 2026, with a target of production rollout by the end of October. It shipped weeks ahead of that. For users and developers, nothing needs to change. No wallet updates are required, no contracts need redeploying, and no settings need toggling.
