GenLayer Labs introduces AI court system with up to 1,000 validators to settle disputes in minutes

Imagine a courtroom where the judge, jury, and stenographer are all AI models, the proceedings wrap up before your lunch break, and the bill comes to roughly the price of a candy bar. That’s the pitch from GenLayer Labs, which has formally unveiled what it calls the Internet Court, a blockchain-based adjudication system designed to resolve disputes between autonomous AI agents at machine speed. The protocol currently has around 70 professional validators active, with architecture designed to support up to 1,500. Its testnet is already processing approximately 350,000 daily transactions and between 20,000 and 25,000 adjudicated decisions per day, with a single-day peak of 4,097 rulings. How an AI court actually works GenLayer operates as what the team calls an “adjudication layer,” a blockchain protocol built specifically for the emerging world of agentic commerce.
