FURIA Esports just ran through the group stage of the BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025 without dropping a single series. The Brazilian Counter-Strike organization posted a perfect 3-0 record in the Swiss-system stage, punching its ticket directly to the playoffs.
FURIA’s playoff qualification marks the team’s first Major playoffs appearance in roughly two and a half years. The last time they competed at this stage was the Rio 2022 Major.
The current roster features FalleN, one of the most decorated players in Counter-Strike history, alongside YEKINDAR, the Latvian rifler known for his aggressive playstyle. Danil “molodoy” Golubenko, a Kazakh AWPer signed by FURIA in April 2025, has delivered standout performances throughout the tournament.
FURIA and crypto have a complicated history. In 2022, the organization secured a $3.2 million sponsorship deal with FTX, which at the time was the largest sponsorship in Brazilian esports. When FTX imploded in November 2022, the contract was terminated.
Polymarket, the prediction market platform that runs on USDC over the Polygon network, has become a significant venue for esports betting. Multiple FURIA matches have been listed on the platform, with trading volumes reaching into the hundreds of thousands of dollars.
