EU countries convene to hash out global AI rules as enforcement era begins

EU member state officials are gathering in Brussels on Thursday for what could be one of the more consequential meetings in the short history of AI regulation. The session of the Artificial Intelligence Board will tackle international AI policy, recent AI-related incidents, and the thorny question of how to build global guardrails for increasingly powerful AI models.
