Devcon 8 to take place in Mumbai from November 3–6, 2026

The Ethereum Foundation is bringing its marquee developer conference to India. Devcon 8 will run from November 3 to November 6, 2026, at the Jio World Center in Mumbai’s Bandra Kurla Complex, marking the first time the event has landed in one of the world’s fastest-growing tech ecosystems. The choice of Mumbai is less about novelty and more about math. India is home to more than 17 million GitHub developers, and the country has emerged as a leading pipeline of new talent for the Ethereum network since 2023. What the event looks like Devcon 8 is shaping up to be one of the largest editions yet. Organizers expect between 10,000 and 12,000 attendees, with more than 600 sessions planned across multiple stages, workshops, and community hubs. As of early September 2026, 14 Community Hubs had been confirmed. Speaker applications were extended through August 2026, a move designed to widen the net for quality content and diverse perspectives. ETHIndia, a companion event, will take place on November 4, running alongside the main conference. The timing coincides with the Diwali season.
