Datavault AI agrees to buy BankWyse, reports 287% Q2 revenue growth

Datavault AI is having a busy summer. The NASDAQ-listed company (ticker: DVLT) announced on August 19 that it has signed a definitive agreement to acquire BankWyse, a Wyoming-chartered Special Purpose Depository Institution, while simultaneously reporting that its Q2 2026 revenue surged 287% year-over-year. The numbers first Q2 2026 revenue came in at $6.7 million, up from $1.7 million in the same quarter a year earlier. Gross profit reached $2.9 million for the period. The growth was driven by new revenue channels the company has been building out, including live event production, consumer audio, and related-party sales. What BankWyse actually is, and why it matters Wyoming’s Special Purpose Depository Institution charter is specifically designed to custody digital assets, operating under Wyoming state banking law with a full-reserve model. Wyoming established its SPDI framework in 2019. The deal is subject to regulatory approval and customary closing conditions.
