Institutions appear to be back at the table. Bitcoin ETFs attracted $128.69M in net inflows on August 6, while Ethereum products brought in $92.15M, marking a day when both major crypto ETF categories moved in the same direction at the same time. That kind of synchronized demand is worth paying attention to. When capital flows into both BTC and ETH vehicles simultaneously, it tends to reflect deliberate portfolio-building rather than opportunistic rotation between the two assets. The numbers behind the move Bitcoin ETFs collectively manage around $80B in total assets, a figure that reflects just how quickly these products absorbed institutional capital since their US launch. BlackRock’s iShares Bitcoin Trust, known as IBIT, holds approximately 777,872 BTC valued at roughly $54.4B, making it the dominant product in the category by a significant margin. The Ethereum side of the ledger is smaller but growing.
