Core Scientific has added 301 BTC to its balance sheet, bringing its total Bitcoin holdings to 848 BTC. The purchase is a curious move for a company that spent the first quarter of this year doing the exact opposite: selling nearly every coin it had. For context, Core Scientific held 2,537 BTC at the end of 2025. By March 31, 2026, that figure had cratered to just 547 BTC. The company sold roughly 1,900 BTC in January alone for $175 million, averaging about $92,100 per coin.
