Column integrates USDC and USDT into core banking infrastructure for fintechs

Column, the bank-as-infrastructure provider co-founded by Plaid co-founder William Hockey, has wired stablecoin payments directly into its core banking ledger. The integration supports both USDC and USDT across multiple blockchain networks, letting fintech clients move between crypto and traditional payment rails without ever leaving Column’s system. What Column actually built The integration allows Column’s fintech clients to send, receive, and convert USDC and USDT with immediate fiat conversion and settlement. That settlement runs 24/7/365 on Column’s own ledger. Solana serves as the default blockchain network, with Ethereum and other chains also supported. Column says the system requires no prefunding, no third-party intermediaries, and no separate liquidity management. The stablecoin infrastructure is already live and processing transactions for a roster of well-known fintech clients including Brex, Ramp, Mercury, Bilt, Slash, and Kapital.
