CFTC seeks feedback on CPO and CTA rule changes

The CFTC has opened a 45-day comment period on proposals that would double the small-pool exemption threshold to $800,000 and ease registration rules for some fund advisers. Under the proposal, certain investment advisers already registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission could avoid separate CPO registration for qualifying commodity pools.
