Centrifuge opens production tokenization infrastructure to institutions

Centrifuge says institutions can now tokenize funds on live, audited infrastructure that spans multiple blockchains. No bespoke engineering project required. The launch rests on the protocol’s V3 series of updates. Two pieces do most of the work: a programmable vault stack and a hub-and-spoke multichain architecture. A single control layer handles accounting, pricing and permissions. Investors, meanwhile, can access the fund from whichever supported chain they prefer. The practical upshot: an asset manager does not need to rebuild its fund for every blockchain it wants to reach. It manages one fund, distributed across many networks. According to the research findings, the architecture currently supports operations on 13 chains. Centrifuge reported $3.5 billion in cumulative tokenized assets under management as of Q3 2026, along with approximately $1 billion in total value locked. The platform also counts 45 tokenized assets issued within its ecosystem. It has settled more than 11,900 cross-chain transactions since inception. The 2026 rollout came in stages, from V3.1 through V3.3. Those updates added new onchain accounting options, onchain mandates and investment vault standards bu...
