Ark Invest, the innovation-focused fund run by Cathie Wood, scooped up 78,756 shares of Cerebras Systems, adding to what has become one of the firm’s most aggressive position-building campaigns of the year. The buy marks yet another accumulation in a string of purchases that started shortly after Cerebras went public. Ark has been steadily loading up on CBRS since the company’s Nasdaq debut. Ark’s Cerebras appetite in context This latest purchase isn’t happening in a vacuum. Ark has been building its Cerebras position methodically since the company’s IPO on May 13, 2026, when shares were priced at $185. That IPO price turned out to be a launchpad. Cerebras closed its first day of trading at $311.07, a roughly 68% pop that signaled just how hungry the market was for a credible Nvidia alternative in the AI chip space. Ark’s buying spree has been consistent. The fund picked up 124,905 shares in mid-to-late May, followed by another 111,989 shares on June 25.
