BUZZ High Performance Computing Inc., the AI-focused subsidiary of HIVE Digital Technologies, has named Hubert Marleau as an independent director. The appointment, effective September 15, 2026, brings more than five decades of Canadian capital markets experience to a company that’s been on a contract-signing tear this year. Who is Hubert Marleau Marleau’s resume reads like a tour through the upper echelons of Canadian finance. He served as Governor of both the Montreal and Vancouver stock exchanges and chaired the Toronto Stock Exchange Listing Committee. Marleau emphasized the strategic importance of AI compute in bolstering Canada’s economic sovereignty, framing domestic control of data and technology as a national priority. The contracts backing the pivot Marleau joins at a moment when BUZZ HPC’s revenue trajectory is starting to look less like a startup and more like a scaled infrastructure business.
