Backpack brings tokenized BlackRock shares to Solana

Backpack Securities has added BlackRock to its lineup of tokenized stocks. According to the company’s announcement on X, its $BLK token is now live on Solana. The token gives Solana users a blockchain-native version of BlackRock shares. Holders can move it between wallets, trade it on decentralized exchanges, and do so outside the hours of a traditional stock market. What Backpack is actually offering Backpack Securities is the brokerage and tokenization arm of Backpack, a platform built around Solana. It launched in June 2026 with one goal: letting users trade real US equities through regulated infrastructure. The interesting part comes after the purchase. Users can convert their stock holdings into tokenized versions that live on Solana and trade around the clock on decentralized exchanges. Each token is designed to be redeemable 1:1 for the underlying share. The $BLK listing appears to fit into a broader rollout Backpack is running with Sunrise, its partner for token issuance and trading on Solana.
