Arsenal is on the verge of completing a blockbuster transfer for Newcastle United midfielder Bruno Guimarães, with the deal expected to land north of £70 million. The Brazilian midfielder has reportedly agreed personal terms on a five-year contract with Arsenal. Newcastle’s asking price could stretch as high as £85 million. The transfer details Guimarães, who signed a £41.6 million contract extension with Newcastle in October 2023, currently has a deal running through June 2028, with an option for an additional year. Reports suggest the final fee will land somewhere between £75 million and £85 million. Guimarães has reportedly expressed his desire to make the move to north London. If the transfer exceeds €80 million, Lyon stands to collect a €6 million sell-on fee from the deal. Lyon sold Guimarães to Newcastle back in January 2022.
