Anthropic just made Claude a lot more useful for teams that actually ship things together. The AI company rolled out a suite of collaboration features for its Claude platform, including public sharing of artifacts, team-based editing of Claude Code outputs, and deeper integration through Claude Tag.
What actually changed
The headline features break down into three buckets. First, Claude Code artifacts, the interactive outputs the AI generates, can now be shared publicly. Users can create live, interactive HTML pages like dashboards or lightweight applications and publish them beyond their organization, depending on their plan settings.
Second, those same artifacts now support collaborative editing. Multiple team members can iterate on a shared project rather than passing files back and forth. Administrators retain control over who can access what through organization-wide settings.
Third, Claude Tag lets users summon the AI directly in Slack team channels by tagging @Claude. Claude Tag leverages shared organizational context and tool access to handle tasks proactively within conversations where work is already happening.
Claude Tag launched in beta on June 23, 2026, initially targeting Team and Enterprise customers.
Eating their own cooking
Anthropic reports that Claude generates 65% of the code used by its own product teams internally.
The July 2026 updates also expanded Claude Code and the Cowork feature set across web and mobile platforms. Integrations with Microsoft 365 arrived as well, meaning Claude now plugs into both Slack and Microsoft’s suite.
The competitive landscape is getting crowded
These moves position Claude squarely against OpenAI’s ChatGPT Enterprise and Google’s Gemini for Workspace. Anthropic’s emphasis on administrator controls and organization-level permissions addresses enterprise requirements around access control.
The public sharing feature lets teams publish live interactive HTML artifacts, not just text outputs. Google has the distribution advantage through Workspace’s massive installed base. OpenAI has brand recognition and first-mover energy.
What this means for investors
Anthropic remains privately held. Every feature Anthropic ships that makes Claude stickier inside enterprise workflows increases competitive pressure on publicly traded companies like Microsoft, Salesforce, and Atlassian.
The deep integration with Slack is worth watching closely. Salesforce owns Slack, meaning Anthropic’s Claude Tag feature rides on a competitor’s platform.
Anthropic’s updates contain no blockchain elements, no token incentives, no decentralized anything.
