AMD, Cisco and HUMAIN launch AI infrastructure in Saudi Arabia, target 1 GW by 2030

AMD, Cisco, and HUMAIN have formed a strategic joint venture to build up to 1 gigawatt of AI data center infrastructure in Saudi Arabia by 2030. The initial phase, a 100 MW deployment, is set to begin operations in 2026 using AMD’s latest GPUs and Cisco’s networking stack. What the joint venture actually looks like The partnership was formally announced on November 19, 2025, tying together AMD’s silicon, Cisco’s networking infrastructure, and HUMAIN’s role as the Saudi government’s dedicated AI venture. HUMAIN operates under the umbrella of the Public Investment Fund, Saudi Arabia’s sovereign wealth vehicle. The first phase of the project will deploy AMD Instinct MI450 series GPUs paired with AMD EPYC CPUs, offering GPU-as-a-service for both AI model training and inference workloads. Cisco provides the high-speed networking fabric needed to tie thousands of accelerators together into a coherent compute cluster.
