Alphabet files for $25B ten-part notes offering as AI spending spree accelerates

Alphabet just passed the hat around Wall Street for $25 billion, and investors practically tripped over each other to chip in. The Google parent company filed for a ten-part notes offering on August 6, with maturities stretching from 2 to 40 years, pulling in roughly $115 billion in peak demand. That’s more than four times the amount on offer. The deal was priced at the full $25 billion, making it Alphabet’s third massive capital raise of 2026. Combined with its earlier moves this year, the company has now hoovered up more than $125 billion in fresh funding in a single calendar year. A year of relentless fundraising In February, the company sold $20 billion in multi-currency bonds, including a 100-year tranche. Then in June, Alphabet completed an equity offering that was upsized to nearly $85 billion. The timing is deliberate.
