Alphabet and Meta launch competing AI agents CC and Muse

Two of the most valuable companies on the planet just launched consumer AI agents within nine days of each other. Google expanded its Creative Collective (CC) tool on September 17 from a single-user productivity assistant into a family hub supporting up to six members. Meta beat it to the punch on September 8 with Muse, a personal AI agent that can book your flights, send your emails, and generally try to make itself indispensable across a web of connected apps. What each agent actually does CC started life in December 2025 as a straightforward, one-person productivity tool. Its September upgrade adds shared calendars, task lists, and collaborative documents for family groups, all while keeping each member’s data siloed through isolated cloud instances powered by Google’s Gemini model family. It can generate shared daily briefings, coordinate schedules, and handle task delegation without letting one family member’s browsing history bleed into another’s.
