Ajax want Noa Lang back. The Dutch club is in discussions to reacquire the 27-year-old winger from Napoli, a move that would complete one of football’s more circular career arcs: youth academy product leaves, bounces around Europe, and returns to where it all started. The timing isn’t coincidental. Paris Saint-Germain has set its sights on Ajax’s 21-year-old Belgian winger Mika Godts, with that transfer projected to land somewhere in the range of €50-55 million. Ajax have identified Lang as the man to step into Godts’ boots. The Godts domino effect Lang moved to Napoli in 2025 for approximately €25-28 million plus bonuses from PSV Eindhoven. Things haven’t gone according to plan in southern Italy. Playing time has been scarce, and Lang was shipped out on loan to Galatasaray in January 2026 for a €2 million loan fee, with an option to buy attached. Napoli reportedly values Lang at €25-30 million for a permanent sale, though there’s also willingness to discuss a loan deal with a purchase option.
