Aerodrome PGF executes 325K AERO buyback worth ~$140K this week

Aerodrome Finance’s Public Goods Fund just hoovered up another 325,000 AERO tokens, marking the protocol’s second major buyback in roughly eight days. The repurchase, executed using what the team describes as a “market-aware strategy,” carried a notional value of approximately $140,000 at AERO’s trading price of around $0.43. This latest purchase follows a slightly larger buyback of 343,000 AERO tokens announced around August 12. Both transactions fall within the 300,000 to 400,000 AERO range that has become the PGF’s sweet spot in recent rounds. Once acquired, these tokens are typically max-locked into the veAERO governance system, removing them from circulating supply for the maximum possible duration. That lock converts them into voting power within the protocol’s gauge system, where liquidity incentives are directed across trading pools.
