A potential sale of French esports organization 3DMAX has collapsed, leaving the group with more than €1.5 million, or about $1.75 million, in reported debt.
French insider Sébastien “KRL” Perez said the debt is owed to players, staff and other parties after negotiations with French YouTuber Cyril “CYRILmp4” Soudant failed.
Spanish organization Heretics was reportedly close to buying the roster, while ENVY, Luminosity and TSM also showed interest. None of the negotiations produced an agreement.
3DMAX CEO Stéphane Pons previously said an earlier scam by a former partner had affected the organization’s revenue, including sticker income.
